Dubai Autism Centre conducted a workshop on Applied Behavioural Analysis

Dr. Mohammed Fteiha, head of speech-communication unit at DAC, emphasized the keenness of Dubai Autism Centre to empower professionals in the UAE with the latest methods and approaches about Autism's treatment. He also stressed the importance of continuous learning for its positive effect on the quality of services provided to the children, their parents and families as well as on the society at large.

Dubai - 09 February 2011: Dubai Autism Centre (DAC) conducted a workshop on the 'Applied Behavioural Analysis' at the Dubai Knowledge VillageDubai Knowledge Village
Dubai Knowledge Village.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Ayman Mohammed Al Balshah - PhD. Special HMC, to discuss the new approaches of autism treatment based on teaching behaviours through a system of rewards and consequences.


The workshop aimed at training special educators, specialists and parents the treatment of challenging behaviours of children with Autism. Dr. Al Balshah highlighted the importance of gathering and recording information about such behaviours in the development of antecedent and preventative treatment strategies. The sessions included various methods of gathering and recording information as well as practical steps and advice on how to tackle various behavioural issues.
